Who's Going to Hell?

A recent poll was taken among Beliefnet members that showed some...well quite frankly...not so surprising results:

"Conservatives are more secure in their beliefs that they will not go to hell and that they know someone who also won't suffer eternally, according to a June poll of 10,000 Beliefnet members.
Liberals expressed less confidence in their chances of escaping the underworld and in their ability to identify the damned, the poll shows."

Let's be honest folks, is this honestly some sort of breaking news headline? If i supported the gross murder of millions of babies, I would be pretty worried about where I was going after I died as well. If I supported banning God from schools, science, and oh, I dunno, even the freaking pledge of allegiance, for kicks and giggles, I would be very worried about being eternally damned to hell too. Why is this poll such a surprise? What should be surprising, or at least revolting, is that if liberalism has all of the answers, why are they the ones who think they're going to hell? Isn't that kind of a surefire sign that you're on the wrong path, you know, if you think that you might be going to hell and all? Oh well. You can read the full Fox News article about the poll here.

Who's Going to Hell? Well only God can ever determine that. It's not even if you HAD supported murder in the past. What is your relationship with the Lord NOW? Do you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to relieve humanity of their sins?..so humans have a path toward righteousness in heaven. Do you believe that the Holy Ghost breathes through the earth today as it did the day Christ was resurrected? THAT's the only way you are getting to heaven...any other god, any other idol; animal or human, will just lead you to hell. Another controversy is: Where does a person go if he commits suicide? Well, are they completely mentally ill or did they defy God's commandment of Thou shalt not murder? It is not for humans' knowledge to decide whether one goes to heaven or hell-- only God's.

"It is not for humans' knowledge to decide whether one goes to heaven or hell -- only God's." We as humans make the decision about where we are going when we die. If we accept Christ as our Savior, then you choose heaven. If you do not, you automatically choose hell. God gave us freewill in the matter. I am pretty sure if someone actively pushes for the removal of God from the pledge, schools, etc. that they do not choose Christ as their savior. Likewise, it's a good bet (though not always gaurunteed) that someone who opposes such issues as abortion and same sex marraige for moral/religious reasons has made the choice to accept Christ. The only thing necessary for salvation is a personal relationship with Jesus, and based on that it is possible to know, for the most part, who is going to heaven and who is going to hell. That does not mean that we should go around judging ourselves who is going where, but it is possible for one to know in most circumstances. Thanks for your comment.
